Scope and Contents This collection consists of correspondence to and from John J. Miller documenting his imprisonment at Johnson's Island, Ohio and military duties at Richmond, Virginia. Includes letters from his father James Miller and brother William J. Miller in St. Louis, and Mary Elizabeth Burd, later his wife, from Oakland, Missouri.
