Existence and Location of Copies
Howard kept his diary in notebooks during the War. He dictated and commented on the diary to Agnes I. Eason, typist, ca. 1914. Typescript was copied by Mrs. H. Ross Malloy, Historian of the Lizzie Rutherford Chapter, UDC, in Nov. 1962. Copies were placed in the Dept. of Archives and History, Atlanta, and in the Memorial Building Library, Richmond.
Condition of materials
Material includes photocopies of tyepscript; excellent condition.
