Accession 03-002: Initial Deposit, 1855, 1858

This accession consists of one letter from Joshua R. Giddings from the "Hall of Representatives" to Charles D. Cleveland of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania dated December 17, 1855. The letter briefly explains Giddings activities in the United States Congress and the righteousness of the "cause". This collection also includes a newspaper clipping from the "National Anti-Slavery Standard" concerning Giddings's retirement on September 18, 1858.
