This accession primarily focuses on Walter Blair who taught Richard E. Amacher at the University of Chicago and became his lifelong friend Blair taught for a few years in the English Department at Auburn University and went on to teach at the University of Chicago where he studied and published on American humor. Included in this accession are correspondence between Richard E. Amacher and Walter Blair, artwork and illustrated Christmas Cards created by Walter Blair, framed artwork by Walter Blair, and four publications.
