This acquisition includes scrapbooks containing clippings concerning the textile industry 1940-1941; programs for Alabama Textile Manufacturers Association Annual meetings 1943-1993; ATMA Membership Directories 1972-1994; programs for Safety Seminars, Industrial Relations and Public Relations conferences, King Cotton Awards luncheons, and Alabama Textile Queen Pageants. It also contains Alabama Cotton Manufacturers Association Yearbooks/Annual Reports and Alabama Textile Manufacturers Association Yearbooks 1946-1971. These Yearbooks contains photographs and transcripts of the business sessions and speeches at annual meetings. Approximately one-third of this acquisition concerns the Association's position on state and national legislation and its program "Candidates Forum '78," which provided an opportunity for invited guests to question candidates for state office at meetings held in several locations around the state.
