Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The records of the Auburn Lions Club Collection begin in 1950, although the club was founded in 1928. The collection is arranged into two major categories: General and Financial. With the General category, there are sub-categories arranged alphabetically within the chronology of years from 1950 to 1979. The list is as follows: Alabama Lions (Newsletter) Correspondence Membership and Activity Reports Membership-at-large Membership Attendance Records Membership Proposals Membership Rosters Membership Transfers Minutes - Board of Directors Minutes - Regular Meetings Miscellaneous Newsletters Officers ROAR All years (1950-1979) do not have all of the above categories. The 1950's records are especially few. All f these can be found in files 1 to 182. The second part of the General material(mostly undated) includes files with little material for each year (e.g. Committees), and general files on club history, constitution and by-laws, clippings, club administration, the ROAR, undated correspondence, and twenty files of unsorted Sight Conservation material. These can be found in Files G1 to G32. The financial records are in a seperate box. They include budgets, financial statements, financial reports, income tax information, transactions, account books, deposits and receipts, and general and activity funds files. The financial records can be found in Files F1 to F26.
