Literature of DDT Analyses (1 of 2), 1966-1981
Scope and Contents
This accession consists of material about hydrology and limnology compiled by Dr. David R. Bayne over the course of his career. It primarily includes reports, studies, drafts, articles, correspondence, data, and notes. Much of this material was generated in the context of the water wars between Alabama, Georgia, and Florida as the three states vie for access to the water flowing through the region. The accession is organized into six series by subject: General Material about Water, Studies and Data about Specific Bodies of Water, Industrial Site Studies, Water Quality and Pollution, Fish and Aquatic Animals, and Aquatic Plants and Land. Work by notable Auburn University professors J. M. Lawrence, with whom Bayne trained and worked, and H. S. Swingle appears throughout the collection. This accession originally included many published books and reports that are available through the library or online and did not require archival preservation. A list of these publications not retained with the collection is attached to the finding aid.
