Scope and Contents
This accession contains one framed Audubon print Winter Hawk (plate 071), several journals and sketchbooks, a few books, and miscellaneous items. It includes a nature scrapbook, circa 1930, made by Eugene Sledge when he was a boy. It also includes mentions of his memoir, With the Old Breed, and personal notes on nature, weather, and daily activities. Sketchbooks contain primarily pencil drawings of nature, although subjects are varied.
