This accession consists of correspondence written and received by Richard K. Smith from 1950 to 2001, the bulk of letters being written from 1974 to 1999. Included in the collection are numerous subject files kept by Smith relating to aviation history; drafts of articles; unpublished book and chapter manuscripts; photographs, slides and negatives of dirigibles and airplanes, and genealogical information regarding the Smith family.
