This accession consists of books from the personal collection of Mary Ward Brown and a small amount of personal items included with the books. Many of these books contain notes, comments, and markings added by Brown, and some also have notes and signatures by the authors. Books include fiction, nonfiction, scholarly works, works on writing, biographical works, anthologies and literary journals. All of the material is in English, except for one book in Russian.
