This accession contains deeds of property in Georgia and Alabama (1806-1862), including Indian lands, public land sales (bearing Presidential signatures) and other properties; receipts, invoices and promissory note (1810-1888); slave bills of sale (1811-1860); Civil War and Reconstruction items, including taxes in kins and presidential pardon. There are also two genealogical charts and three reels of positive microfilm (negative microfilm at Alabama State Archives). Also included are a Confederate letter from Charles Howard, 6th Alabama Regiment, items related to cotton sales and crop liens, and genealogical and historical data compiled by Miss E. Grace Jemison.
