Accession 21-055, August 11, 1981 - November 18, 1981
Scope and Contents
This accession contains five folders of documents relating to the administration of Auburn University under president Funderburk between 1981 and 1983. The materials (mostly photocopies) include official statements, correspondence, memoranda, and reports. Much of these deal with the evaluation of Funderburk's performance between late 1981 and February 1982, the resignations of high-profile administrators, and conflicts between Funderburk and the faculty. The documents originated in the president's office, from various faculty and administrative committees, the board of trustees, the student senate, the board of the alumni association, and a telegram was sent from Governor Fob James.
