This subseries primarily documents the evolution of the Carter Library from the earliest planning stages in the White House through its formative years in Atlanta, GA ca. 1981-1991. The files were created by the donor when they were an Archivist assigned to the National Archives Liaison Office in Washington DC and was later Carter’s first Supervisory Archivist.
