Accession 13-018: Addition to Collection , 1950 - 1983
Scope and Contents
This accession consists of photographs, awards, and honor, dating from the 1950s to the 1980s, relating to Joe Givhan's career as a promoter of agricultural exports and the Red Angus breed of cattle. There are a variety of photographs of Givhan meeting with U.S. and foreign dignitaries, ranging from the governor of Texas, to the president of El Salvador, to Soviet agricultural experts. There are also a variety of plaques and certificates honoring Givhan for his service in the Alabama Cooperative Extension Service and various cattlemen's associations.
