January 1, 1865, Saterlee Hospital. Most of the content concerns legal conditions affecting farm land at home with deeds and ownership questions. He will send a paper which describes how the hospital wards were decorated for Christmas. He is still working with the table crew, and is hoping to be paid on the 15th.
