The accession includes a small envelope addressed to Mrs. N.W.E. Long at Perote, Pike [Bullock] County, Alabama, from Private Long, Co. 'B' 51st Ala., and a letter from Mrs. M.A. Jackson to her sister, Mrs. M.J. Long, dated May 16, 1862. The letter consists of questons inquiring about family members, such as their health and whereabouts.
