Biographical / Historical

Major Elmer Hugo Almquist was born February 5, 1893 in Nebraska. He graduated with a BS from the United States Military Academy. In 1933 He came to Auburn, where he served as Assitant Professor of Military Science and Tactics at Alabama Polytechnic Institute, now Auburn University. He died December 30, 1939, in Columbia, Missouri. He had one daughter, Mary, and two sons, Pete and Elmer.
