Biographical / Historical
The Auburn First Baptist Church was founded in 1838. During the Civil War, it served as an infirmary for sick and wounded soldiers. In 1923, funding was seured for an expansion and the church's current auditorium was constructed in 1929. The building was enlarged in 1948, the Sunday School annex constructed in 1953, and the Baptist Student Center was constructed in 1961.
