Biographical/Historical Note

Martin T. Olliff, Jr., graduated from Alabama Polytechnic Institute (now Auburn University) with a degree in Chemical Engineering in June 1954. Mary graduated from the Alabama College for Women (now University of Montevallo) in 1954. They lived in New Jersey from 1954-59 where he worked at DuPont. The family moved to Huntsville, Alabama, in 1959 where Martin worked at Thiokol Chemical Corporation until he retired in the 1990s.
