Biographical / Historical
Harry Smith was the son of mathematics professor O.D. Smith of the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama, later Auburn University. He graduated with a B.S. degree from Auburn in 1895. After earning an M.S. degree from Auburn, he worked for the Catlett Electric Company in Richmond, Virginia.
