This accession consists of a variety of records from the Auburn University Retirees Association from 2009-2012. The records include annual meeting programs and minutes, Board of Directors meeting minutes, newsletters, and officers' correspondence.

Biographical / Historical
Retired faculty and staff from Auburn University and Auburn Universityat Montgomery joined forces in 1996 to address problems with the universities' retiree health insurance program. This effort led to te foundation of the Auburn University Retirees Association, or AURA. Affiliated with, but independent of, the university, AURA is organized under a constitution and governed by a set of bylaws. Members and the association have complete freedom of action with respect to university policies and political activity. Membership is open to Auburn University faculty and staff as well as their spouses.
