The collection contains minutes and newsletters frequently combined, giving particulars of the club's events. Application and reports of membership are also in the collection. The minutes are brief and some are missing. The applications for membership and the rosters are also incomplete.

Biographical / Historical

The Auburn University Skin Diving Club was organized at Auburn in 1958. It was a new sport at that time. Bill Washington, Swimming and Life Saving Coach at Auburn University, acted as faculty advisor to the new club. Ben Dugger was the first student organiser. The Tiger Sharks have been responsible for the promotion of safe diving and safety techniques. Many of the dives have taken place in Florida. The club was very active at its inseption then became more social than active, and is now undergoing re-organization. Dr. Edward Clark is the club's faculty instructor.
