Biographical / Historical

Mary Robertson Roempke Barwick (October 28, 1942 - February 1, 2020) was an artist and writer residing in Montgomery, Alabama. She was born in South Carolina but relocated to Alabama in 1979. Prior to writing and publishing books, she worked as a registered nurse at various hospitals in Alabama and South Carolina. In 1989, she published The Alabama Angels, a self-illustrated children's book. Other books followed with the same theme.
