Scope and Contents
Collection consists of one scrapbook from the Alabama Soil Fertility Society presented to Boyd upon his retirement. Scrapbook contains a brief summary of his career as well as letters of praise from his contemporaries.

Biographical / Historical
Boyd earned his B.S. and M.S. from Alabama Polytechnic Institute in 1914 and 1917 respectively. He worked as an agronomist with the Alabama Cooperative Extension Service, the Chilean Nitrate Educational Bureau and the Virginia-Carolina Chemical corporation over the course of his career, retiring in 1963.
