Biographical / Historical
Louis O. Brackeen was born and educated in Alabama, graduating from Alabama Polytechnic Institute in 1927. After graduating, he worked as a radio and newspaper journalist and an agricultural writer and editor before becoming the Director of Publicity at Alabama Polytechnic Institute, a position which he held from 1948 to 1962.
