This accession consists of one letter written by Jacques Joseph ChampollionFigeac in which he discusses library business. Specifically, he has borrowed two books or manuscripts and says that he needs one for one more month and the other for two more months. The handwriting is difficult to read. This letter was acquired from James Messenger.

Jacques Joseph Champollion-Figeac was a French archaeologist, professor of Greek, and librarian who lived from 1778 to 1867. He was the older brother of Jean-Francois Champollion who deciphered the Rosetta Stone.
