Biographical / Historical
Located in Auburn, Alabama, Toomer's Drug Store took its name from Sheldon Toomer, an 1893 graduate of the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama, later known as the Alabama Polytechnic Institute and eventually Auburn University. Auburn University students traditionally gather at Toomer's Corner to celebrate athletic, particularly football victories.
