Biographical / Historical
James O. Ballenger is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University in 1959 with a Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Management degree. Ballenger works as a Numismatist, in that he buys, sells, and appraises United States coins and currency. This currency collection was donated to Special Collections and Archives at Auburn University by James O. and Bettye B. Ballenger.
