Records of the state headquarters of the League of Women Voters of Alabama, including floppy disks, compact disks, DVDs. cassette tapes, orrespondence, subject files, Bills, issues information files, program files, newsletters, pamphlets, booklets, bookmarks, scrapbooks, state board minutes, documents pertaining to various Alabama county and town leagues, financial records, and oral history interviews with members.

Conditions Governing Access
Open for research except accession 96-013 for which permission of League is required to use interviews; interview with Dot Moore is closed, but a two-page narrative prepared by Moore is available with League permission.
Biographical / Historical
The League of Women Voters in Alabama was first formed in 1920, but disbanded in 1928. It was re-formed in 1946 to inform voters and to provide a forum for the exchange of opinions about public issues.
