This collection contains bylaws (1879-1909); business, Women's Mission Circle, and Board of Trustees minutes (1879-1965); membership lists (ca. 1910-ca. 1980); financial records, including a cash book (1902-1941) and treasurer's reports (1918-1967); histories (ca. 1910-1970); correspondence (1941-1961); one reel of microfilm, bulletins and religious texts; digitized and physical copies of blue prints; drafts and bound copies of The History of First Universalist Church Camp Hill, AL; photographs; booklets; pamphlets; articles (photocopies and originals); newspapers; sermon notes; a hymnal; ledgers; and postcards.

Biographical / Historical
The First Universalist Church of Camp Hill, Alabama, was founded in 1846 as Liberty Universalist Church. Around 1880, the original church records were destroyed by fire when they were stored at a church member’s home. In 1909, the church’s name was officially changed to the present name, First Universalist Church.
