Biographical / Historical

James E. Foy was born on November 7, 1916, and died on October 8, 2010 at the age of 93. He attended Tuscaloosa High school, graduating in 1935. During World War II, he served as a naval aviator in the Pacific. He was a graduate from the University of Alabama, and in 1950 he began a long career at Auburn University as the Assistant Director of Student Affairs. Foy served as Auburn's Dean of Student Affairs until his retirement in 1978.
