Biographical / Historical

James E. Foy was born on November 7, 1916, and died on October 8, 2010 at the age of 93. Foy attend Tuscaloosa High school, graduating in 1935. During World War II, he served as a naval aviator in the Pacific. He was a graduate from the University of Alabama, and in 1950 he began his long career at Auburn as the Assistant Director of Student Affairs. Foy served as Auburn's Dean of Student Affairs until his retirement in 1978.
