Biographical / Historical
John Dannelly Logue was born in Bay Minette, Alabama, and grew up in the Alabama towns of Pine Apple, Greensboro, Evergreen, and Auburn along with his brothers Calvin, Lamar, and Mickey. He attended Alabama Polytechnic Institute (now Auburn University) graduating in 1955. Following two years of service in the Air Force, Logue worked for ten years as a writer and editor for the "The Atlanta Journal" newspaper. Logue worked for Southern Progress Corporation from 1967 to 1992 in various capacities including creative director. He is the author of twelve boosk published from the 1980s to present, including "Pat Dye: In the Arena", "Life at Southern Living", and "Murder on the Links."
