Biographical / Historical
In 2016, the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs was renamed the Office of Inclusion and Diversity (O.I.D.). The OID closed in 2024 in compliance with state law prohibiting certain public entities from maintaining diversity, equity, and inclusion offices. According to its website, the "Office of Inclusion and Diversity supports the mission, values, academic endeavors, and strategic priorities of Auburn University by empowering diversity, fostering partnerships, increasing access, and enriching the learning, living, and working environments for all. Every contribution supports Auburn University's mission and every member of the Auburn Family."
