Biographical / Historical
The Panhellenic Council is the governing body for the sororities on Auburn University's campus. There are eighteen sororities on campus and the Panhellenic Council oversees their operations with representatives serving as officers from individual sororities. The council is comprised of five officers who serve in addition to their duties in respective sororities. The goals of the council are to ensure leadership within the guidelines of the National Council and their goals are for academic excellence, social responsibility, leadership, recruitment scholarship, and service to the college community. One of their major projects was to help implement within the college community the Green Dot program, which involves members of the campus to get involved with helping others when they need help or calling administration or emergency services if help is needed beyond their level of expertise.
