Biographical / Historical
Jacob Franklin Betts Lowery III was born in 1947 in Montgomery, Alabama, and died November 4, 2024, in Greenville, South Carolina. Lowery obtained his BA from Auburn University and his MBA from the University of Alabama. Lowery was an accountant throughout his life, while also working as an independent historian. As a researcher, he focused on the history of his family and the unincorporated town of Burnt Corn, Alabama.
