Biographical / Historical

Delos Hughes was born on July 26, 1934, in Auburn, Alabama. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from Oberlin College and his MA and PhD from the University North Carolina. Hughes enjoyed a decades-long career as a professor at Washington and Lee University. His primary research and publication expertise was in architectural history, where he published numerous articles and books.
