Scope and Contents
This collection consists of diaries of a military radio operator who tracked bombing missions from England to Germany during 1943. They contain details regarding missions, the rescue of downed bomber crews, and the atmosphere in England during World War II. There is also a miniature laminated copy of his honorable discharge papers from 1945.

Sgt. Maurice G. Ewen, 834th Bomber Squadron, United States Army Air Force, was stationed in Southminster, England during 1943 manning the radio that tracked the bombing missions from England into Germany.
