Biographical / Historical

Ruth Trammell Faulk was born May 6, 1910, in Lafayette, AL. She received her A.B. from Huntingdon College in 1931, and her M.S. from Auburn University in 1947. She taught English at Auburn University from 1947 until her death in 1971. Her daughter, Carolyn Sue, received her B.A. in English from Auburn University in 1955 and received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. She taught English at the University of South Carolina until her death in 1972.
