Biographical / Historical
Grant was born in Headland Alabama in 1910. Graduated from Dothan High School, 1929. Played football at Alabama Polytechnic Institute (later, Auburn University), and graduated from there in 1933. Served stints as assistant football coach as Auburn, University of Kentucky, and as head baseball coach at Auburn. Served as Auburn Alumni Secretary from 1938-40. Entered active military service in 1940, retiring in 1965 after a distinguished career. Upon retirement served the Mississippi National Guard as Brigadier General.
