Barbara Holder Papers
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of a scrapbook on Mobile, Alabama, and to a lesser extent Baldwin County, Alabama, from 1925-1926. The scrapbook was passed down to Barbara Holder by her parents, but its origin is unknown. It includes newspaper clippings and magazine articles. Topics include economic development and public works in Mobile, particularly the building of a bridge across Mobile Bay and expansion of Mobile's port facilities, as well as recreation and tourism.

Biographical / Historical
Barbara Holder is a native of Mobile, Alabama. She attended Auburn University, graduating in 1967. After spending some time in Germany, where her husband, who was a member of the United States Army, was stationed, she returned to Auburn, where she worked in Auburn University's Office of Information Technology until her retirement in 2005.
