Scope and Contents
This collection contains the scrapbook, photographs and ephemera of Carolyn Jenkins of Auburn Alabama from 1927 to 1933. Consists of photos and ephemera of Lee County High School and Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) during the late 1920's and early 1930's. Includes pictures of family members, friends and classmates. A leather pocket book commemorating the 1913 homecoming of Alabama Polytechnic Institute is also present in the collection.

Biographical / Historical
Carolyn Jenkins was the daughter of Rufus Lee Jenkins of Auburn, Alabama who was the pharmacist that operated Toomer's Drug Store, a popular college hangout, for close to forty years. She attended Lee County High School from 1925 to 1929 and later Alabama Polytechnic Institute from 1929 to 1933. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in secondary education in 1933. She later moved to Valley in Chambers County, Alabama.
