This collection contains two oral history interviews (with transcripts) given by Robert E. Lowder. The first occurred on August 27, 1998, and covered information related to the administration of Auburn University president Hanly Funderburk. The second took place on August 26, 2008, and addressed the administration of Auburn University president James E. Martin.

Biographical / Historical

Robert E. Lowder was an Auburn University graduate, former chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Colonial BancGroup, Inc., and served as president of the Auburn University Alumni Association and later on Auburn's board of trustees.
