Biographical / Historical
The Lee County Historical Society was founded in 1968 by local historian and founding trustee Alexander Nunn. Operating out of Loachapoka, Alabama, it is dedicated to preserving the county's agricultural and pioneer heritage through exhibits, historic buildings, and educational community events at Pioneer Park, a living history complex that includes numerous historical buildings and structures representing early Native American history, pioneer settlement, and turn-of-the-20th-century agriculture.
