Scope and Contents
This collection consists of 69 cassette tapes containing 61 oral interviews of Clay County, AL, residents. 57 selected interviews have narrative transcripts created by Ms. Grundy. These were the sources for her book, "You Always Think Of Home: A Portrait of Clay County, Alabama".

Pamela Grundy is an author and historian who lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, who has written several nonfiction books on various historical topics. She collected interviews from residents of Clay County, Alabama, between 1987 and 1988 and used them to write her 1991 book, "You Always Think of Home: A Portrait of Clay County, Alabama".
