Scope and Contents
This collection contains an envelope and letter addressed to Adline from her cousin, W.L. Andrews, during the Civil War; a tintype photograph; a button; and two pieces of paper listing Adline as head of a Dictionary [club?]. A preliminary transcription of the written materials is also provided.

Biographical / Historical
Little information could be found on Adline Lowry. From her papers, we know she was the cousin of W.L. Andrews and lived during the Civil War period. Her papers also indicate that she was the head of a Dictionary club or class in 1857.
