This accession includes a letter, dated November 11, 1859, from B.C. Lee to his mother. Lee was a student of East Alabama Male College right after it was opened, and the letter has some information about the College, as well as some information about the city and inhabitants of Auburn, Alabama. Also contains some information about Southern University in Greensboro, Alabama, which opened about the same time as East Alabama Male College
