This collection consists of material collected by Charles B. Dupree documenting the works of Mobile artist John Augustus Walker. Walker completed a ten-mural “Historical Panorama of Alabama Agriculture” depicting the history of agriculture in Alabama as part of the Works Progress Administration’s Federal Art Project, a program employing artists during the Great Depression.
