Scope and Contents This collection contains information about the military service of Calvin J.C. Munroe. He served as a private in the 25th Alabama Infantry Co. G. and at Chickamauga, Franklin, and Nashville among other battles. The letters describe life in the military, Munroe's attitude about generals, events elsewhere in the Civil War, and the death of one of his fellow soldiers.
