Arranged in chronological order, brochures and correspondence for festivals and engagements included here range from local and area festivals such as the Annual Tale Tellin' Festival in Selma, Alabama, to such engagements as Live Performance Radio at Capitol Plaza Theater in Charleston, West Virginia, to appearances in Lincoln, Nebraska.

In 1987, for the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Los Angeles, California, Windham Presented "Recollections and Superstitions," "Ghost Stories," and "My Name is Julia," a monologue by Windham based on the life of Julia Tutwiler, a political activist who fought for prison reform and women's right and who also wrote the words of the Alabama state song. Included in the MOCA file are articles from Los Angeles Times Magazine, ticket for Windham's performances, and brochures. In the Evans Community Adult School file are photographs and samples of students' writing. Windham visited the school while performing for MOCA.

The material for 1988 is more comprehensive and mostly for appearances in Alabama. Included are such engagements as the Sloss Furnace Ghost Telling and the UAB Elderhostel, both held in Birmingham. Out of state appearances include the Corn Island Storytelling Festival, International Order of E.A.R.S., Louisville, Kentucky.
