Scope and Contents
Records of activities of Montgomery League of Women Voters, including its support for the United Nations, its work to repeal the poll tax, to expand voter registration, to reopen Montgomery parks, to replace Montgomery's city commission government with a mayor-councilman system, etc. Also included are records relating to League projects, a history of the local and national League of Women Voters, and scrapbooks containing clippings, photographs, etc. concerning the organization. Box 4 contains documents relating to the feasibility study for recycling 1979-81.
